Prescription sunglasses frames at Chashmaywaly let you combine sun protection with vision correction in a single pair. We sell the frames — tinted, polarized, or photochromic-ready — and you take them to your local optician to have your prescription lenses fitted. Starting from PKR 1,500, with free delivery and COD across Pakistan.
How It Works
- Get your prescription — Visit your eye doctor for a current Rx (SPH, CYL, AXIS, PD values).
- Pick a frame from this collection — Choose a sunglass frame that's compatible with prescription lenses (full-rim frames work best; rimless are difficult to fit with tinted Rx lenses).
- Take it to your optician — Any optical shop can fit tinted prescription lenses into these frames. Ask for UV400 + your desired tint colour, or go for photochromic lenses that darken outdoors and clear indoors.
Best Frame Types for Prescription Sunglasses
| Frame Style | Prescription Compatibility | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Full-rim acetate | Excellent — holds thick lenses securely | High prescriptions (SPH > ±4.00) |
| Full-rim metal | Good — best with thinner lenses | Low to moderate prescriptions |
| Wrap-around sport | Moderate — curved lenses need special fitting | Sports use with mild prescriptions |
| Half-rim | Good — groove-cut lenses required | Moderate prescriptions, lighter look |
Tinted vs. Photochromic vs. Polarized Rx Lenses
- Tinted Rx — Permanently tinted to your chosen shade. Always dark. Best if you only wear them outdoors.
- Photochromic (transition) — Clear indoors, darken automatically in sunlight. Best if you want one pair for everything. Read our transition lenses guide.
- Polarized Rx — Permanent polarization plus your prescription. Best for driving. More expensive to fit.
